May I fix more things Plus Phone App news
Summer is upon us, and I have things in store.
May I fix more things
Of course.
So where to begin?
Bug fixes and improvements
- Changed the colour blending used by Stub planners (It's much more sensible now)
- Corrected the date display on Stub planners
- Fixed swiping the navbar messing up tapping on it
- Fixed horizontal scrolling inside overlaps (This was a pain to track down, and my solution might still be a little clumsy as it adds a bit of lag when opening a wide overlap)
- Correctly set the contrast colour for stage titles
- Stop the right arrow button from being cut off in Artist Info
- Added band time font scaling, so they should stay on a single line when the stage is squished
- Switch the i (artist info) button on the performance bottom sheet to a button
- Fixed a display issue with some overlaps
- Add the ability, for me, to generate 3d models of stage times (So I can make art with them, and post it on instagram)
Less churn in the creator
Just yesterday I realised that my attempt to reduce ID churn when updating a planner was broken.
So I took a moment to really enjoy recoiling with embarrassment, and then went back and checked all the relevant code.
It largely came down to me tracking the wrong value while trying to manage the IDs, but it's fixed now.
I added a couple of improvements too. You shouldn't need to toggle logos etc back on again, and it handles slight time adjustments or just artist changes better.
So updating a planner from today onwards should, and I'm sure it'll come back to bite me, be much more stable.
This should mean you won't lose your selections when somebody updates a planner.
As this change affects an important part of qplanner, please let me know if you spot any bugs!
Coming very soon: The Android App
"Finally..." you cry out, before remembering you have an iPhone.
I've added stub support, improved line-up only, made the navbar more efficient, started adding support for the extra stage styles, and fixed a bunch of bugs that you've never experienced.
I think I'm a week away from being able to start closed testing on Google Play.
I just need to add/redo the push notification code, and fill in loads of stuff for the store listing.
Something's are a bit basic, or poorly implemented, but it's functional and they'll have to wait.
I need 12, or more, concurrent testers using the app, and providing feedback, for a 14 days, before I'll be able to properly release the app.
If you are interested in being a tester, please reach out to me.
What's coming next
I'll be focusing on the mobile app, unless something important comes up.
